Packaging as a Gift

The purpose of your packaging reaches far beyond simply acting as a receptacle for your gift or product. Whether you are throwing a birthday bash, a Christmas or wedding party -- or are looking to provide customers a memorable experience associated with your brand and its product -- creating an original, design for your gift or product will make for an unforgettable (unboxing) experience.

More than 1 billion people watch “unboxing” videos on YouTube, and 90 million search "unboxing” on Google every month, proof that a memorable box experience goes a long way. Custom boxes are a gift with whom you will be able to tell your own story and make your guests or customers feel special. When someone receives a box, it gives them that same euphoric feeling that they most likely associate with Christmas morning or birthdays as a child.

By using a cardboard box, you can do your part in helping the environment in eco-friendly. It is the perfect marriage of form and function; your products or gifts are sure to stay safe and, with a variety of corrugated materials offered, you will be able to wow them in an environmentally friendly way. Your sustainability efforts will go a long way.

There are several things to consider when selecting and designing your custom printed box:

Type of box: The box should fit your product and the occasion its for. A box, for example, is great for celebrations and can hold divers’ products like wine or cookies.

Hand-delivered vs shipment: If the box is being shipped, the snugger the box fits around its contents, the better as this will save on shipping costs as well as reduce the risk of the product shifting around. For each product that is being shipped in a box, make sure to test the box with content to ensure it will arrive safely at its location. Shipping boxes are efficient and versatile.

Inside and outside printing: If a box is being delivered by mail and left on a person’s doorsteps, you do not want to draw too much attention to its content to avoid ‘porch theft’. Using the inside of the box as your canvas will create an unexpected effect and will give you plenty of room to deliver your story. A mailer box is the perfect box type for that.

Substrate: Pending what story you would like to tell, white or kraft substrates will each give a distinctive look. Colors on Kraft will print different than on white (Kemi), look at the guidelines to see what effect you would like to create.
